Students will develop a sketchbook, recording their designs while learning from other artists and 'makers' in the field. They will understand the necessary science to help their terrarium design.

  • Aim

    Students will understand how to design and make a terrarium, drawing inspiration from artists and horticulturists. 

  • Success Criteria

    Students will be able to present and explain how their terrarium is made.

  • Prior Knowledge

    Students will benefit from prior experience using a variety of artistic tools and processes. They will have some understanding of what plants need to grow.

Materials

For each student you will need:

  • Colouring Pencils
  • Sketch Book
  • Pencil
  • ¼ Mayku Standard Sheet
  • 1 Pair of Scissors
  • 1 Bucket of Water
  • 1 Packet of Cement
  • 1 Cup of Water
  • 1 Sketch Book
  • 1 Pair of Surgical Gloves

Tools

Students can share:

  • Mayku FormBox

  • Tiny Trowel
  • Water Paper Mist Spray Bottle
